Job Description: Website Volunteers

GOAL: The goal of the Website Volunteers is to get the animals' pictures and basic iinformation onto our website to increase their chances for adoption by the public. Since we have added animals to the web, our adoptions have increased significantly. This is very important to finding homes for these animals.

SUPERVISOR: Volunteer Coordinator

TIME COMMITMENT: At least once per week for approximately 2-3 hours for a minimum of 6 months.

AVAILABLE TIMES: During shelter hours, Mon-Fri 12-5, Sat 11-4

DUTIES:
Photographer: With the help of a partner, take pictures of animals not yet on the web. Upload photos and mark cage identification cards to acknowledge they have been photographed for the website.

Photo Processor: Process photos for the web. We will show you how to do this, but some basic computer knowledge is needed.

Description Author: Write short descriptions about the animals' personality and needs. This helps potential pet parents find a good match.

QUALIFICATIONS: Photographers must be comfortable using a camera and be willing to be patient until they can get a good picture of the animal. Must be willing to work with all types of animals. Must be comfortable with shy, active, or other types of behaviors in animals. Photo Processors and Description Authors must be comfortable with computers and be willing to learn how to edit photos for the web. All positions can be combined, but require a consistent commitment to your scheduled time slot. Must be AT LEAST 16 years of age, teams of two are preferred.
